Jessie Laurenzi (she/her) is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Wisconsin. Jessie approaches clients through a Humanistic lens, treating clients with compassion and valuing clients as human beings shaped by life experiences. She works collaboratively with clients to help process emotions and body sensations around challenges with external stressors, relationships, and self-worth.
In combination with her overarching Humanistic approach, Jessie utilizes treatment modalities including: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and self-compassion focused work. Jessie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) a specialized trauma treatment modality for helping clients decrease distress from past traumatic experiences or events.
Areas of treatment focus include: anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustments/life transitions, life stressors, relationship stressors, and low self-esteem. Jessie enjoys working with individual adults and couples both in-person and through telehealth.
Jessie has a Masters of Science in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has worked as a mental health professional in the Madison area for the past 5+ years.
