My goal is to work with you from a holistic perspective, viewing you as a whole being. I consider all unique factors, including the cultural, ethnic, and religious, in my therapeutic approach. I am here to support you through losses, help you process trauma, adjust to a new normal, and find stability. My goal is to create a safe environment in which we build trust, increase awareness, develop understanding of yourself and others, and start the healing process. I meet you where you are in your journey.

    Come as you are.

My diverse cultural background and diverse professional experiences in the medical field and social services helps me to provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. I believe it is very important to view everyone from a holistic lens, with consideration for clients’ biological, psychological, cultural, and environmental make-up. I use my warmth, humor, compassion, and direct approach to help you explore your emotions, current and past experiences, challenges, and ways of being in relationships and in the world. I believe that the therapeutic relationship works best when we collaboratively set and reach goals.

    More About Me

I grew up in a family of seven in Karachi, Pakistan and have been living in Wisconsin for the past 14 years. As a child, I was exposed to close loved ones in the medical profession which piqued my interest in sciences. With more exploration, I found my true passion providing mental health services.

    Eduction & Experience

I earned my undergraduate degree in 2015 from the University of Whitewater in Psychology and Biology. Following college, I worked at Mercy Hospital Options Program and Rogers Behavioral Health, providing crisis counseling and serving as a Sexual Assault Advocate. I went on to obtain my Masters of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. I am currently pursuing my full Marriage and Family Therapy license (Lic #744 – 228) and am fully licensed as Licensed Professional Counselor (Lic #8414 – 125 ). I work under the clinical supervision of Shannon Doherty, MS LMFT (Lic # 918-124), & AAMFT Approved Supervisor as I complete my training into candidacy for full licensure.
